SiZing Rings & Bangles

Here is a clear, simple guide you can follow to help get an accurate fit.

Finding Your Ring Size at Home

Determining ring size at home can be tricky because finger size naturally fluctuates throughout the day. The best time to measure is at the end of the day when your fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers can shrink by up to half a size.

Method 1: The String or Paper Trick (Most Popular)

This method measures the circumference of your finger.

  1. Wrap it: Cut a thin strip of paper or a piece of non-stretchy string. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you intend to wear the ring on.

  2. Account for the knuckle: Slide the wrap up to make sure it can clear your knuckle comfortably. (If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size halfway between the two).

  3. Mark the spot: Mark where the paper or string overlaps with a pen.

  4. Measure: Lay the paper flat against a ruler and measure the length in millimeters (mm).

  5. Find your match: Compare your measurement to a standard ring chart:

Inside Circumference (mm)US Ring Size46.8 mmSize 449.3 mmSize 551.8 mmSize 654.4 mmSize 757.0 mmSize 859.5 mmSize 962.1 mmSize 10

Method 2: Measure an Existing Ring

If you already have a ring that fits the target finger perfectly, you can measure its inside diameter.

  1. Lay the ring flat over a ruler.

  2. Measure the inside distance across the widest part of the band from inner edge to inner edge in millimeters (mm).

  3. Use a sizing chart to match the millimeter diameter directly to your US size (e.g., $16.5\text{ mm} = \text{Size } 6$, $17.3\text{ mm} = \text{Size } 7$, $18.2\text{ mm} = \text{Size } 8$).

Key Tips for the Perfect Fit

  • When in doubt, size up: If you fall between two sizes, it is almost always safer to order the larger size.

  • Consider band width: Wide bands (over 4–6mm) fit tighter than thin, delicate bands. If you are buying a wide ring, consider going up a half size.

  • Dominant hand differences: Your dominant hand is often about a half-size larger than your non-dominant hand, so always measure the specific finger you plan to wear the ring on!

How to measure Bangle Size

Method 1) Use Good Fitting Bangles that You Already Own

Take out bangles that you already have and measure the inside diameter and compare to the below measurement chart or the measurement stated in the actual bangle listing.

As long as you measure the inside diameter of your current bangles this will be an accurate way to find your bangle size.

Method 2) Measure Your Hand

This can be used to find your bangle size, but is a little bit trickier than the printable sizing template, but when done carefully will give you an accurate result.

You will need a flexible tape measure or a piece of string and a ruler.

1. Make your hand as small as possible, as if you were putting on bangles, bringing your thumb and little finger together.

2. Using the tape measure (or string), measure the around your hand at the widest point (the tape measure should be pulled tight, not loose). Make note of the actual circumference of your hand (if you used string, make a mark where the string meets, then measure the length with your ruler to get your hand circumference).

3. Compare your hand circumference to the bangle circumference in the chart below. Purchase bangles that are the next size up from your actual hand measurement
