These one-of-a-kind lost wax cast earrings feature tumbled turquoise nuggets and pearls set in sterling silver. The nuggets are very old and do not appear to be stabilized - a testament to their hardness and quality. The pearls were purchased decades ago and labeled ‘Biwa Pearls’. Lake Biwa in Japan was an early source of freshwater pearls, but it’s production has slowed significantly due to pollution.
